Natural Dye Workshop

Join master herbalist Anna Derrer of Nettles and Petals for a natural plant dye workshop.  She will give an introduction into natural dyes with easy to find/grow plant materials (many you can find in your own home!). She will provide all the necessary supplies, dyes, and pretreated fabrics for you to be able to make and TAKE your own project with you. She'll demonstrate different dye techniques such as shibori (Japanese manual resist dyeing), immersion dyeing,and bundle dyeing for creating different patterns on your fabric. Then she'll let you experiment and dye your own teatowels. In this class, you'll get to dye and take home two tea towels of your own.  Join us in learning the beautiful art of natural plant dyes.
