About the Event
Please join professional buttermaker, Meghan McKenna as she
teaches us how to make glorious cultured butter at home. We will use local, farm-fresh cream to
create old-fashioned, French-style butter, Fleur de Sel butter and a variety of compound butter options.
Meghan will teach us professional butter wrapping techniques, so we can curate beautiful
packages for gifting as well.
We will also make a classic ranch dressing from scratch with our fresh buttermilk. We will have delicious
local cheese and butter snacks to nosh on as we work and finish up with a salad dressed with our
buttermilk ranch. You will take home about a half pound of your hand-made butter and buttermilk
ranch dressing and/or plain cultured buttermilk. Students will also take home a recipe packet with tips, common troubleshooting answers, and the confidence to make butter in your kitchen again and again.
