About the Event
Join us for a hands on class to learn the art of grafting. We will utilize ancient, time tested techniques coupled with modern know how to propagate your favorite fruit trees. Whether your goal is to save money,  grow your own fruit, or continue the legacy lines of heirloom cultivars (perhaps establish new trees from that favorite old apple tree at grandma’s house), we can teach you how to successfully graft &  propagate fruit trees yourself. The class will be hosted by Sarah Wagstaff of SUOT Farm & Flowers.Â
During the 2 hour class, instructor Dave Klawer will start with basic grafting history & theory. He’ll offer an in-person demonstration of a variety of grafting techniques to try. You will be supplied with the necessary materials to successfully graft your own apple trees with guidance & support. We will supply lots of fruit tree wood practice with.  You’re free to make & take up to 4 trees! We are sure you’ll enjoy some light snacks paired with locally grown award winning Alma Cider.Â
